As one of our hot products, the Y1 GNSS receiver has a very wide user base, and they also encountered various technical questions in the process of using Y1. We have summarized the questions frequently asked by our users and provided some solutions, hoping to solve some of your confusion.

Considerations When Using RTK Receiver

1. Keep away from interference sources such as wireless signal towers and high-voltage towers

Transmitting towers and high-voltage towers will generate strong electromagnetic wave interference and magnetic field interference, which will affect the reception and transmission of equipment signals and cannot work normally.

2. Avoid using the network mode in remote mountainous areas and areas with no signal

Due to the small population in remote mountainous areas and the outdated communication equipment, the network signal cannot be covered, resulting in the device unable to connect to the network for operation.

3. Try to avoid places with serious shelter

Seriously occluded places such as mountains, high buildings, forests, etc., will cause delay in device signal reception, lack of signal reception, poor satellite signal, etc., resulting in the inability to obtain a fixed RTK solution.

4. To ensure the best performance of external radio mode

The installation and use of the radio station must avoid rain immersion, and the transmission antenna must be kept vertically upward and not tilted after installation. The transmission antenna and the cable should be firmly connected without looseness, and the use range should be within 15km. If the use environment is not blocked by large objects such as mountains and tall buildings, low power transmission can be selected. High power is available over 5Km.

Common Questions of Y1 GNSS Receivers

Q1: The receiver cannot receive the satellite signals
