Tech Chat | How to Resolve Stuck or Crashing Issues in Autosteer Software?
Recently, we've received feedback from users experiencing lag or crashes when running PrecisionAg Autosteer software on the T10 tablet. These issues are often due to a large amount of stored data in the database folder, which can slow down or disrupt the software's normal operation. This blog will show you how to troubleshoot and fix these issues by reinstalling the PrecisionAg software and clearing unnecessary data.
Preparation:
Before beginning, gather the following materials:
- USB Flash Drive
- T10 Tablet
- Power supply
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Back Up Tractor and Implement Parameters
Reinstalling the software will reset all settings, meaning tractor and implement parameters will be lost. To avoid recalibrating these settings, be sure to back up all relevant parameters before proceeding.
2. Export AB Lines
If you need to retain previous AB lines for your work, export them to a USB flash drive. You can then re-import these lines after the software reinstall, saving time and maintaining continuity in your tasks.
3. Uninstall PrecisionAg and Delete Related Folders
To fully clear the old data, uninstall the PrecisionAg software by long-pressing its icon. Next, navigate to File Explorer > Download > Intnavigation and delete the related folder.
4. Reinstall the PrecisionAg Software
Insert the USB flash drive with the PrecisionAg installation file and reinstall the software. If you do not have a USB flash drive or the installation file, please contact our support team (support@singularxyz.com) to arrange a remote reinstallation.
The latest version of PrecisionAg only retains data cached in the past week in the database folder to ensure smooth performance and reduce storage buildup.
