In this blog, we'll provide a step-by-step guide to properly reinstall and update the Singular Caster software, ensuring optimal performance.

Components of SingularCaster?
The SingularCaster software is composed of three primary components:
- Database: Stores essential data for the software.
- Server: Handles communication between the network and the client, providing data and services.
- Client: A user interface for accessing the server's resources and data.
Due to these interdependent components, a proper installation and regular maintenance are crucial for stability and accuracy.
Steps to Reinstall/Upgrade Singular Caster
1. Uninstall Existing Software
Open your computer's Control Panel and uninstall the following programs in this order:
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Server: SingularPointCasterService
- Client: SingularPointClient
2. Delete Relevant Folders
Navigate to your computer's File Manager and locate the folders related to Singular Caster. Delete all relevant file folders as follows, which is necessary for reinstallation.
3. Remove Software Logs
Logs are used to monitor system events such as connection and disconnection, data flow, errors, and warnings. Deleting old logs can help resolve persistent issues while preparing for a clean installation.
Note: Files containing "log" in their names are log files. Do not delete files named regcode, as these are essential for reactivation.
4. Reinstall the Software
Install the Database, Server, and Client in the correct sequence. Refer to the Singular Caster manual for detailed installation steps. Ensure that you're using the latest software version provided by SingularXYZ.
